ABOUT THE COMIC
Sunrise is an adventure comic which runs at least once a week. Its storyline is divided up into separate “issues” which are 20+ pages long, and follows the adventures of the crew of the airship RAS Akhenaten. Sunrise has been running since February 2008. It draws inspiration from sources as diverse as Herge’s Adventures of Tintin and Star Trek. The intention of Sunrise is to be a high-quality, black-and-white comic with high entertainment value and the best art and writing possible. In practice, it sometimes falls short of these goals, but I do my best!
HOW SHOULD I START READING?
There are a number of different ways to begin. You can start with the first issue, or you can choose an issue which sounds interesting to you from the Archives and start there. Or you can just dive right in! Just choose whichever method you prefer, and remember that the Dramatis Personae is there if you need it.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
John W. Allie is studying art and creative writing at the University of Connecticut, which is a nice place but it gets pretty cold in the winter. He is always working on several personal projects at once, of which Sunrise is but one.
